Our roots are founded in the pharmaceutical environment, with key team members having once been

of pharmaceutical manufacturers across the country. From laboratories to sterile filling suites,
our construction management team employs knowledge gained from years in the field to help our
clients meet their critical business objectives. With projects ranging from $500,000 - $60 million
and within R&D space to production and warehousing, there isn’t anything we can’t handle.
Single Point Accountability,
This 105,000-sf addition added first-floor production and warehouse space as well as a mezzanine that houses HVAC equipment, a main electrical distribution substation, and water distribution support equipment. The basement houses lyophilizer support equipment and control panels as well as a process / equipment storage tank. The project included installation of specialized controls, mechanical and electrical systems, and clean room facilities required to support the expanded operations.
This expansion project included the installation of five new lyophilizers, filling suite with washer, sterilization tunnel, isolator/filler and formatting table. In addition to the filling suite and lyophilizers, a new stopper processor was installed to support the new filling suite.
Master Service Agreements
As a result of our success providing construction management for one of our earliest clients, GBA Builders was retained to provide CM services on a number of projects at multiple sites. Project types include: fermentation facility upgrade, sterile fill suite renovation, laboratory renovation, modular building assembly, and an autoclave installation. Services include cost estimating, procurement, scheduling, management of day-to-day on-site activities, and project closeout activities.
Super Skid Reassembly
GBA Builders provided CM services for a global biopharmaceutical company on the east coast. This multi-million dollar effort was the heart of a new fermentation facility for the manufacturing campus. GBA Builders was responsible for the day-to-day construction activities for all trades, scheduling, subcontractors, and project definition. In parallel to the super-skid project, our firm was responsible for the high-purity piping and gray piping for a new lab. Our project director was responsible for oversight of the project team as well as the specialty consultant handling job site safety.
GBA Builders was contracted for complete design and construction management services to convert a materials storage warehouse to a finished goods storage facility. A new HVAC system provided even temperature system distribution throughout. Prior to the upgrade, the space contained unit heaters and exhaust fans with no temperature-control systems.
