
Amanda Olejniczak is a Project Engineer at Thermo Fisher Scientific. She collaborates with all Thermo Fisher departments by managing project construction, including coordinating outages and tie-ins to existing utilities. She ensures there are no safety concerns and is the communication conduit from Thermo Fisher to the client. Amanda’s passion for helping others led her to the pharmaceutical industry. She enjoys working on the engineering side of projects in construction, seeing a project from design and conception to building it out and handing it over to operations – knowing the impact the project will have on individuals.
Advice to Women in Construction
It can be intimating at first – but keep showing up every day and ask questions. Learn each day and then apply what you just learned from project to project. That is really what gave me the confidence to be in the field.
