Women in Construction Week - Angela Gonnerman

After experiencing the construction world for this first time in 2002, Angela Gonnerman has yet to look back. She is currently an Assistant Project Manager at GBA Builders. As part of the Mission Critical group, she oversees very complex, high-tech, and, most often, confidential projects nationwide ranging in a variety of sizes. Her introduction to construction was from the viewpoint of a subcontractor, where she was able to learn the importance of the process and procedures she still utilizes on a daily basis.

Advice to Women in Construction

Angela’s advice to women in construction is to not let the “male-dominate” industry hold you back or intimidate you. She adds, “Believe in yourself and you can achieve whatever you set your mind to.” Angela believes you can go as far as you’re willing to learn. “Hard work and determination eventually pay off,” Gonnerman says. “Persistence is the key!”
